COUNTY COUNCILS’ ACTION. .. PURCHASE OF LOAD A.METERS. The question of the largo Increase in heavy motor traffic on the roads was discussed at a meeting of the Walpa County Council at Te Awamutu yesterday, when a report from the Traffic Control Group suggesting the purchase of two loadameters was tabled. The councillors were of the opinion that expense had to ho curtailed still further and the control of the heavy traffic passing over the road 3 was one of the most important features. The wear and tear on the roads was a big item. It was decided to support the Traffic Control Group in the purchasing of two loadameters. A resolution asking the Minister of Transport Lo enforce the Heavy Traffic Licensing Commute laws was also passed.
