IRISH LEADER CHARGED. COLONEL MICHAEL HOGAN. REMANDED AT DUBLIN. LONDON, February 17. Colonel Michael Hogan, of the Free State Army, a brother of the Minister of Agriculture, and also Inspector Edward O’Connell, of the crimes branch of the Civic Guard, were remanded at Dublin on six charges under the Official Secrets Act-. Detective Carbery said O’Connell gave him documents marked "Very secret” to address to Hogan without letting Chief Detective Croy know. Carberry handed them to Croy the next day, though afterwards he told O’Connell that lie had left them at tho barracks for Hogan.
