CARNIVAL AT DUNEDIN. TWO RECORDS BROKEN. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Thursday. Competing in the 50yds invitation scratch race at the Kiwi Club’s carnival this evening, the intermediate swimmer, Walter Jarvis, who celebrated bis 10th birthday, beat the Canterbury swimmer, McConville by a yard in 255, lowering his own New Zealand record hv ,l-ss. He later beat McConville in a match race over 100yds. by a touch in 5? t-ss. Reg Geddas, Jntermedia'te breaststroke champion, made a special attempt on his own 1 OClyds. breaststroke record of 70 2-ss. He succeeded in lowering it by -i-'ss.
