BENEFITS OF OTTAWA

NULLIFIED BY CURRENCY PROBLEM A CONFERENCE SUGGESTED. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received Nov. 29, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 28. In the House of Commons Mr P. A. Hurd (Conservative member for Dovizes, Wiltshire), asked the Prime Minister (Mr Ramsay MacDonald) if he was aware that the currency differences were tending to nullify the benefits of Ottawa to Canada and other parts of the Empire, and whether Britain would call an early conference with the Dominions on the subject? Mr MacDonald said there was no reason to believe such a conference would be effective. He had received no request for it from the Dominions.
