ALLEGED THEFT.

EX-SOLICITOR CHARGED. REMANDED UNTIL THURSDAY. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. In the Police Court a former solicitor, Charles Stewart Leahy, aged 44 years, appeared before Mr W. R. McKean, S.M., on remand on a charge of stealing £'3ls, the property of Reginald Roberts, on or about March 1. He was also charged with stealing £l6 on March 2, 1928, and sums amounting to £502, the property of Thomas James O’Hagan, between that date and 'May 18, 1931. In obtaining a further remand until Thursday, Detective-Sergeant Kelly said the charges would definitely be proceeded with on that day.
