NECROMANCY DENOUNCED. “Ancient and Modern Necromancy* alias'Mesmerism and Hypnotism, Denounced,” was the lesson-sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday The golden text was from 1 Cor. xvi., 13: “Watch ye; stand fast in the faith; quit you like men; he strong.” Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon were the following from the Bible: "For ye wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” “Wherefore lake unto you the whole armour of Cod, that ye may be able' to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." (Eph. vi, 12, 13). ■ Aiso the following passages from the Christian Science text-book, “Science and Health, with Key to tiio Scriptures”: “The Ciwlsllan Scientist demonstrates that flic Divine Mind heals, while the hypnotist, dispossesses the patient of his individuality in order to control him. The genuine Christian Scientist is adding to his patient's mental and moral power, and is increasing his patient’s spirituality while restoring him physically through Divine love.”
