SUNDAY’S SERVICE. •At the 'Church of Christ, Claudelands, Pastor Campbell spoke to crowded audiences yesterday, Lessons from a. Pie Funnel ” Interested the children in the afternoon, and In the evening “ The Adventures of « Black Slave Thief ” were unfolded. The thief was Onesimus, concerning whom Paul’s letter to Philemon was written. . The speaker vividly reconstructed the events from the hints in the Epistle, narrating the theft and escape, the discovery and pursuit, the frivolity and then despair of 'Onesimus in Rome, till he was brought to the Apostle Paul, and led by him Lo follow •Christ. Then he was sent back to his master in 'Colosse, with this beautiful letter lo smooth the way and reconcile his master to him again. Some very acceptable music was rendered by the choir and a quartette party.
