ST. PETER'S CATHEDRAL.

CONDITION OF WALL. ADDITIONS PLANNED. Some time ago signs of crumbling were evident in the west wall of St. Peter’s Cathedral and the chapter gave it immediate attention. The matter was referred to the building committee and plans arc now almost completed for the reconstruction of the wall. It is expected that a baptistry and small memorial chapel will be added to the building.

The Auckland Farmers’ Freezing Company has donated £IOO towards the cost of a font to be erected in the Cathedral in memory of the late Mr Joseph Bnrugh, for many years warden at St. Peter's.
