Since the operation of the Financial Enquiry Act on September 1, whereby relatives, where possible, are bound to contribute towards the pensions of those receiving them, 2000 invalid and old ago pensions have already been surrendered in all States. Another clause in the. Act provides that any pension money paid after October 12 will become a charge on the property of Ihe pensioner after his death.
