U.A.O.D. Officers of Rotorua Lodge, U.A.0.D., and of Pride of Matamata U.A.0.D., met in friendly rivalry for the ritual shield In the Matamata Lodge room on Tuesday evening. An even contest resulted in Rotorua capturing the shield. Junior High School. At the usual monthly meeting of the committee a letter from the Matamata Swimming Club offered to teach the children to swim.—A sub-com-mittee consisting of the chairman, headmaster and secretary was set up to go into the matter. The headmaster reported a Junior High School roll for the month of 164 with an average attendance of 156. The figures for the secondary department were 78 and 76.
