NEW COURT HOUSE.

THE HAMILTON BUILDING. SUB-CONTRACTORS CLAIM RELIEF? PETITION TO PARLIAMENT. (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The recent construction of a nevf courthouse at Hamilton is recalled in a petition presented to Parliament today by the Minister of Health, the Hon. J. A. Young, on behalf of Messrs O’Kane Bros., contractors, of Hamilton. Petitioners explain that in September 1929 they entered into a sub-Con-tract with one John R. Simpson for the plastering of the new courthouse then in course of erection, their price being £2385. A year later Simpson became bankrupt and there was then due to petitioners a balance of £413For this sum petitioners proved in the bankrupt estate, and had received a first and final dividend of £52, leaving still outstanding a balance of £361. Petitioners were informed they had no remedies enforceable at law, and claimed such a measure of relief as Parliament deemed fit.
