COOKING BY GAS
MISS UNA CARTER EXPLAINS. DEMONSTRATION IN HAMILTON. The art of cooking by gas, and the simplicity of operation of the Champion gas cooker, were explained to an audience of about fifty ladies In the demonstration room at the Municipal Buildings yesterday afternoon by Miss Una Carter, the well-known authority on matters culinary. Miss Carter gave an interesting talk on cooking by gas, and illustrated her remarks by cooking several varieties of cakes and scones. She spoke on the various uses to which the cooker could be put, and aroused keen interest with her demonstrations on the new porcelain enamelled model, several different types of which were on exhibition. Miss Carter will give further demonstrations this afternoon, and on Thursday and Friday at 2.30 p.ni. There will also be evening sessions tonight and tomorrow night at .7.30 p.ni. to which the public of Hamilton, and ladies in particular, are invited.
