At the wool sales 10,205 bales were offered, including 5023 bales New Zealand, and approximately 6331 bales were sold. There was good home and Continental competition. There were considerable withdrawals of merinos owing to the high limits. New Zealand Clips.—Greasy crossbreds, "Lowlands'," top price 6 Ad, average, 5 j cl; scoured combing "Godley Peaks," ISd and laid; half-brcds, "Glcmnore." 1 G Ad and 14Jd. Bradford Tops. At Bradford business was restricted. Seventies brought 23d; sixtyfours, 20 Ail; sixties, 20d; forty-sixes, I Gel ; fifties, JOd; forty-sixes, fid; forties, Bjd.
