A YOUNG VAGRANT.
HANGING ROUND HAMILTON. ADVISED TO LEAVE TOWN. 11 This young man has be,on about Hamilton for some days and making himself a pest round the hotels,’ commented Senior-Sergeant Sweeney, at the Hamilton Magistrate s Court this morning, when Thomas Lynch, aged 23 years, was charged before tylr A. Mcßae, Justice of the Peace, with being an idle and disorderly person with insufficient means of support. Accused, tiro Senior-Sergeant explained, was addicted to drink and made overtures to another young man to break into the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency premises, stating that there was a window at the rear of the building through which entrance could easily be effected. An inspection showed that accused’s contention about this window was true. Accused told the Ben.oh that his conversation about breaking and entering the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company’s premises was meant merely as a joke. In convicting and discharging Lynch, Mr Mcßae advised him to leave Hamilton as soon as possible.
