HOCKEY.
INVITATION TO AUSTRALIA. TEAM MAY BE SENT. (By Telegrapn.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. At a meeting ’of the New Zealand Hockey Association an invitation was received to visit Australia in July and August. The difficulty of securing a representative team was discussed. It was decided to send a team, providing suitable nominations were received not later than May 28. Messrs S. G. Holland (Canterbury) and R. L. Thompson (Wanganui) were appointed selectors, In conjunction with one to be appointed.
