CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW,

AT HAMILTON EAST. The Hamilton East Anglican Ladies' Guild arranged a Chrysanthemum Show in the Church hall yesterday afternoon. The flowers were tastefully arranged. The children’s ’Corner reflected credit on those who brought their “rock gardens,” whilst the stall containing articles for sale did excellent business. The venture, under Mrs G. Hobbs and her coworkers, proved very attractive and successful. The following were the prize-win-ners:—Best six blooms, class A: Mrs Knapp i; class B. Mrs Ryan i Miss Valder 2. Best pedestal howl: Miss I. Vercoe 1, Miss M. Forster 2. Best •colour scheme for mantlepiece: Mrs Hobbs. 1 and 2. Best table vase: Miss Parker 1, Miss Vercoe 2. Best decorated fruit basket: Miss Parker i, Mrs Hobbs 2. Best children’s rock garden: John Edgecumbe 1, Joan Williamson 2, Lorna Forster and Bobble Ritchie, highly commended.
