IMPROVING THE LAKE.

NEW RELIEF WORK SCHEME. TO COMMENCE NEXT WEEK. A new relief work scheme, which will result in considerable Improvement at the Lake, will be started next week under the control of the Hamilton Domain Board. It is proposed to remove all noxious weeds from the area of about 56 acres on the south-west side of the Lake, between Killarney Road and Lake Crescent. The ground cleared will then be fenced and planted with trees. When completed Ibis part of the reserve will he a distinct asset to the beautifying amenities of the town. About 20 relief workers will be engaged on the new work.
