Aftermath of Motor Collision i In the reserved judgment of the motor collision case, heard recently, when Dominion Motors, Ltd., proceeded against C. Langkilde, of Otorohanga, for £6O Os lOd for general and special damages resulting from a collision between plaintiff’s oar, driven by plaintiff’s agent, John Russell. and defendant’s car, driven by Paula Langkilde. The Magistrate stated that he had Intimated in former proceedings that the collision was entirely due to the neglegencc and dangerous driving of John Russell. Judgment would, therefore, be for the defendant, with costs. | In the cross-action Vera, Paula and C. Langkilde (father and daughters), v. Dominion Motors, Ltd., judgment was given for the plaintiffs, £lsl 3s 9d damages being awarded.

Traffic Inspector. The Otorolianga County Council, after going into committee on Tuesday afternoon on the question of the appointment of Mr Metcalfe as Traffic Inspector under Hie Traffic Group, passed the following resolution:—• "That the council docs not approve of the appointment of Mr R. Metcalfe as Heavy Traffic Inspector, and has no other option than to withdraw from the group.”

It was further resolved that Mr Gordon Urquhart be appointed Traffic Inspector.
