Wireless advices received at Manila state that a Japanese steamer, the ■Kohwa Maru (5879 tons), en route from Manila to Geraldton, Western Australia, was forced off her course by a heavy gale and went aground on a small Island north of Borneo. It is feared . that the crew of 39 officers and men will have to abandon the ship, hut. it is believed that, an unnamed vessel is standing by to aid them.
