CHARGES OF FORGERY.
YOUNG MAN PLEADS GUILTY. TAIIIAPE, Wednesday. Allan Robinson, of Palmerston North, aged 24, pleaded guilty to a charge of forgery at the Taihape Magistrate’s Court to-day, arid was committed to tiie Supreme Court at Wellington for sentence. . Evidence was given that the accused had .-forged,tlie name of A. Matthews to an order'authorising Nicholls Brothers, . garage proprietors, Taihape, to effect repairs and fill the benzine' tank of a car owned by Matthews, causing this firm to act upon the order as Jf it were genuine. The car was damaged in a collision with another vehlole near Tokaanu, when Robinson was at the wheel.' Matthews, had lent the oar to Robinson to motor from Tokaanu to Taihape, but accused had only covered a few miles when the accident occurred.
