CHARGE OF THEFT,
ALLEGED BAG-SNATCHING. YOUNG MAN PLEADS NOT GUILTY. (nv Telegraph.—Press Association ) PALMERSTON, N., Thursday. In Ihe Magistrate’s Court, William li. King, a gardener, aged 2G years, was charged with stealing from Mary Josephine Aldridge a lady’s handbag containing £3O, a brooch, watch diamond ring, and two post ofhre savings bank books, of a total value of £2.’t. The charge was a sequel lo an alleged bag-snatching episode on Ihe night of April 2i. Accused pleaded not guilly, and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial'.
