A friend who saw “Sons o’ Guns” in Wellington last Saturday night says it is a most amusing show. Incidentally lie mentions that the theatre was parked, although it was the eighth night of the season. • * • * Clem Dawe, the well-known comedian, is appearing in vaudeville at the Tivoli Theatre, Sydney. Eric Bush and Mona Zeppcl, who did a specialty dance in the pantomime “The House That .lack Built.” a few months ago. are bark in New Zealand with the “Sons o’ Guns” company. Their dancing has been warm'y praised. Josephine Trix, appearing in Tivoli vaudeville in Sydney, says Sydney reminds her of Ireland, “because everybody looks over their shoulder to see what’s going to happen next.” Vaudeville revival! No fewer than six vaudeville companies opened in Melbourne last Saturday night. Janette Gilmore, the vivacious soubrette, who was here in “Bio Rita,” has just concluded engagements in Australia, and left Sydney by tlie Sonoma on her return to the States. R. C.
