RACING.

TE AROHA JOCKEY CLUB. The Te Aroha Jockey Club treasurer, Mr J. P. Somers, is at present filling the position of acting-secretary. For some years he has been a member of the committee, so Is well conversant with the secretarial duties. Nominations for the offices of president, three vice-presidents, four members of committee, and treasurer are now being received by the club. The following officers retire, but are ellgible for. re-election: President, Mr R. L. Somers; vice-presidents, Messrs P. Baine, R. Burke and J. B. Johnson; treasurer, Mr J. P. Somers; committee, Messrs F. I. Hunt, F. T. Rowe, G. McGlashan and F. W. Bliss.
