PIQUE TRIMMINGS.

The cotton fashion has even invaded the new winter frocks, and pique, which found such favour during the summer, is again brought forward to trim the new tweeds. Kay Francis, who is appearing in “Scandal Sheet," a Paramount picture, adopts the new innovation with great success on her gown of dark green wool crepe, which is deftly ornamented with lliree butterfly bows of light green pique at spaced intervals down the front of the blouse, and on the tight, wrist bands. This frock, by the way, gets away from the flare skirt and shows once more the straight tailored lines of pleats. ■Her coat of matching material has a ruffled collar of the pique; and it is also user! as a forehead band on her dark green ioque, finishing with a bow on the right side.
