FORGERY AND PERJURY.

DAIRY WORKER GUILTY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Tuesday. Charges of forgery, uttering a false document and perjury were proved against Gordon Leonard Taylor, a dairy factory worker, of Tariki, in the Supreme Court to-day. The jury made a strong recommendation lo mercy and sentence was deferred. The charges arose out of a Magistrate's Court ease at Stratford, where Taylor produced and swore to a receipt which lie had altered for payments allegedly received for a motorcar purchased from F. A. Newton.
