HOUSE DESTROYED.

FIRE AT CAMBRIDGE. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Tuesday. At about midnight a ten-roomed house owned and occupied by Mr William Campbell, of Flatt Park, Cambridge, was totally destroyed by fire. Mr Campbell was awakened by smoke which was pouring into his room. He found the whole of the rear portion of the house ablaze, the conflagration apparently having started in the hot water cupboard. Mr and Mrs Campbell, who were the only occupants at the time, made their escape, and saved only a few personal effects. The house was insured for £I2BO and the furniture for £3OO, both In the South British Office.

Commander of the liner Aorangi, who-has decided to retire.
