OPERATIONS AT AUCKLAND. SLIGHTLY BETTER TONE. (By Telegraph—-Special to Tlme3 ) AUCKLAND, Tuesday. This morning’s fresh bidding showed a slightly better tone. There were more buyers, though the limits in some cases were lower. There were renewed Inquiries at lower rates for Australian Banks, and New Zealands, after two sales yesterday at £2 9s 3d, were still available at the same figure. Goldsbrough-Morls were asked for at JBs 3d. Bidders for British Tobacco Company stopped at £1 3s Gd. Wftlhl Grand Junctions wero still In demand, with buyers at 2s lOd. There were no declared sellers for Government Stocks, but buyers offered £97 15s for tax-frees. i SALES REPORTED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Tuesday.
