SOCIAL ACTIVITIES.

MEETING AT FAIRFIELD. The annual meeting of the Fairfield Social Committee was held in the Fairfield School last evening. Mr G. Sherley occupied the chair. The balance-sheet for the past year was read and confirmed. The following officers were elected; —Chairman, Mr C. Sherley; secretary, Miss S. Meyer; committee, ladies, Mesdames Beagley, Fisher, Bishop, Grainey, Walker, Monteith, and Misses McGrath, Eyre, E. Casey, and L. Casey; men, Messrs Bishop, Fisher, Grainey, Monteith, Meyer, McGrath, Collins', H. Casey, and A. Casey. A vole of thanks was passed to the outgoing committee for its efficient services. It was decided that the first social evening he held in the Fairfield School ~ oil March 7.
