MONA GRIFFITHS’ MURDER.

McMAHON PROVES ALIBI

Robert McMahon, who was charged with the murder of Mona Griffiths at Bentleigh was released from custody to-day, the Crown having entered a nolle prosequi. The Crowd Prosecutor intimated that McMahon had established beyond doubt that he was 100 miles away from the scene of the murder when it was committed.

Mona. Griffiths was a young girl who was enticed away from her playmates by a strange man, and her dead body was subsequently found in an empty house. It bore evidence of atrocious maltreatment.
