INEFFECTIVE BRAKES.
CHEAPER THAN PAVING FINES. AIAORI CONVICTED. A Maori, Graham Kilii, of Raglan Road, was coasting down a bill recently and crashed into a mob of sheep, because the brakes on his car were ineffective. He was charged before Air Wyvern Wilson*. S.AI., in (he Hamilton Alagis(rate’s Court this morning with driving a car with defective brakes, and was fined 20s, with costs 12s. His Worship told defendant that he would find it cheaper to have his vehicle seen io than pay fines.
