UNEMPLOYMENT,
DECREASE IN REGISTRATION. (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A decrease of 55-1 in the number of unemployed in New Zealand is shown in the figures for the week ended February 9. The total number of unemployed is given as 17,002, as against 17,556 for the previous week. The figures for the main centres are: — Auckland. —With dependents, 2430: without dependents, 2217. Total, 4647 (4400). Wellington. —With dependents, 944; \xithout dependents, 952. Total, 1896 (2415). Christchurch. With dependents, 1065: without dependents, 818. Total, 1883 (2055). Dunedin. —With dependents, 722; without dependelns, 734. Total, 1456 (1051). Invercargill.—With dependents, 269: without dependents, 135. Total, 404 (309).
