ELECTION of officers. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The opening of the 17th. annual meeting of the New Zealand Society of Civil Engineers took place yesterday. Over 100 delegates were present. Statements of accounts presented by the honorary treasurer, Mr. J. Marchbanks, showed that the income during the year was £1737 and expenditure was £1912. leaving a surplus of £215. which had been transferred to capital account. r Phe election of officers resulted as follows: President. Mr. D. K. Blair, of Wellington: vice-presidents, Messrs. P t. M. Kissel ( Wellington) and F. .1. Williams (Dunedin); council, Messrs. G t. Murray, F. E. de Ouerrier, D. Holderness (Auckland), F. W. MacLean, F. J. ,1 ones. 11. Yickerman, A. .1. Baker, F. W. Furkert (Wellington). F. Hitchcock (Christchurch), .). McG. Wilkie (Dunedin) and F. M. Corkill (Invercargill); secretary, Mr. It. L. Cole (Wellington) ; honorary treasurer, Mr. J. Marshhanks (Wellington).
