The contratcor has made a start With the metalling of half-a-mile of Peek’s Road, from the junction of No. 8 and Whakahoro Roads, northwards' towards Tahuna. The road has been •graded for a further half-mile, and it Is probable that the whole length of the road will be metalled within a year or two. AVhen the road is available at aIJ times of the year it will be used a good deal by through traffic. The School. There are 80 pupils on the school roll, while several younger children who are not old enough to be put on the roll are also attending.
