Reakes as Director-General of Agriculture was expressed by delegates at a meeting of the Waikato Farmers’ Union at Hamilton to-day. The subject under discussion was the eradication of, ragwort, and the meeting was complaining at the inaction of the Government in the matter. “ Until there is a change in the position of head of the department farmers will get little help,” declared Mr J. H. Furniss, the president. A Voice: Give him a dose of sodium chloride. The President: It would be a sheer waste. (Laughter.) 1
