THE FARMERS’ FRIEND.

WAIKATO TIMES PRAISED. “ASSURED OF FAIR DEAL.” “ Does every one of us take the Waikato Times?" asked a member at a largely attended meeting of the Waikato Farmers’ Union today- “ I would advise every farmer In the district to subscribe to the paper, which does more to assist the Individual farmer than any In'the province.” The president, Mr J. H. Furnlss, also urged all members of the union to support the local paper, which assured the farmer a fair deal. They got more than one side of the question. Another member suggested that farmers should take the Auckland newspapers also so that they could criticise them. (Laughter).
