Mr A. Dun-Waters, Laird of Flntry Scotland, is at the Hamilton Hotel. • Mr. Phil Hayward, of Auckland, was in Hamilton to-day. Mr J. Speedy, who is on leave from Borneo, was in Hamilton yesterday. Hamilton Hotel guests include Mr. J. S. Burris of Canada. Mr V. Melville returned to Cambridge this week, after six weeks’ holiday in Sydney and other parts of Australia. Mr Theo ‘Hallen, of the staff of the New ’ Zealand Dairy Company, has been transferred to the Ngatea branch, and will leave for his new position at an early date. Messrs A. Wickin, A. E. ivtunro, H. B Townsend, R. S. Newcombe (Auckland), C. Mitchell, D. Brooker, and E. J. nighton (Wellington), are at the Hamilton Hotel. The friends of Mr J. Petrie, who recently retired from 1 the position or editor of the Hauraki Plains Gazette, bade him farewell at a gathering in the County Chambers, Paeroa. The chairman of the County Council, M. G. Mason, presented Mr Petrie with a gold-mounted fountain pen.
