UNITED SERVICE OFFICERS,

ASSOCIATION FORMED. ALL BRANCHES INCLUDED. A., meeting of officers of His Majesty’.s Services, including members of the Land, Naval and Air Forces, was held at the Drill Hall, Hamilton, last evening. Major J. A. McDonald presided, and outlined the proposal to form an Officers’ . Association. All present were greatly in favour of the idea, and the association was formed with the title of the “United Services Officers’ Association."

Major J. N, Baxter, M.M., was elected president, and took over the control of the meeting. The under-mentioned office-bear-ers were elected:- —Patron, ■ Lieut.Colonel J. E. Dulgan, ,D. 5.0., N.Z.S.C.; vice-presidents, Major P. M. Bell, N.Z.S.C.; ’ Major T. Paterson, N.Z.M.R.; Captain A. Swarbrick, R. of 0., N.Z.A.; Lieut-Colonel R. D. McFarland, Ist Waikato; Major F. D. Pinfold, N.Z.M.C.; Lieut.-Colonel A. Piugge, C.M.G., R of 0., IstWaikatos; Captain, N. S. Johnson, Major J. B. Whyte, Major K. L. Caldwell, Air Force; hon. treasurer and assistantsecretary, Lieut. R. Challiner; hon. secretary, Captain J. Tait, N.Z.A.; auditor, Captain L. Champion; executive, Major J. A. McDonald, Major J. Ritchie, Captain C. F. Thomas, Lieut. D. E. Malins; Lieut. J. A. White, Major S. E. Senior, Major R. Ward, Lieut. J. W. Barry, Captain J, Clachan. The committee appointed a subcommittee to draw up rules to be presented to a meeting at an early date.
