Late rates, were maintained on cattle, pigs being in keen demand. Porkers made £1 18s 6d to £2 Is; good stores, £1 14s to £1 17s; slips, £1 9s to £1 12s; weaners, 18s to 255; empty sows, £1 10s to £1 17s 6d; dairy heifers, calved, £8 to £11; dairy heifers, springing, £7 to £lO ss; dairy cows, springing, £6 15s to £9; fat hoggets,, shorn, 19s lOd; fat cows, best, £6 17s 6d to £7 17s 6d; fat cows, lighter, £5 17s 6d to £6 10s; forward-condi-tioned cows, £4 10s to £4 15s; fresh store cows, £3 Is to £4; boners, 30s to £2 4s; 2yr. steers, £5 10s to £6 17s; 18 months steers, £4 15s; service bulls, £3 to £8; -2yr. empty heifers, £3 19s; choice Jersey yearling heifers £6 3s to £6 4s; others, £2 to £3 15s.
