PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
SALE AND DANCE. , SUCCESS AT MORRINSVILLE. The annual sale of work and concert of the Morrinsvllle Presbyterian Church was admitted by all to have been the most successful function the Church has held./ Satisfactory business was done at the stalls during the afternoon, and in the evening the hall was well fllled and the. entertainment was thoroughly appreciated. For the concert performers from all parts of Waikato assisted and every item was encored. The Hamilton Pipe Band opened the programme with selections, and the following items were then given:—Pianoforte duet, Mrs J. Wilson and Miss Lois Echliri; songs, Mrs J. J. Seales, Mrs J. A. Jones, Miss Dulcie Evans, Messrs J. T. Battersby, C. McCready (Hamilton), A. Martin (Ngaruawahia), L. Echlin, Fielder ’(Matamata), and Rev. C. Turner (Matamata); concertina selections, Mrs Martin; ’cello solos, Mr J. Moore (Te Aroha); recitation, Mr D. Hastie.
Before the concert closed the Rev. J. H. Starnes, on behalf of the audience,, thanked all who had contributed to the success of the evening.
