DAIRYING INDUSTRY.

MORRINSVILLE DAIRY COMPANY. The Morrinsville Dairy Company’s output of butter for October is 26 per cent- greater than that -for October, 1929, the figures being 241 this season and 190 last. The production for the season to date is 604 tons, compared with 464 tons for the same period last year. The increase is mainly due to considerable increase in the number of suppliers. A few farmers in the Morrinsville district have already started making ensilage, and if the fine weather experienced during the past week continues, ensilage making will be general all over the country. By cutting early, farmers find that better ensilage is made, and with favourable weather following a second cut will probably be obtained.

RAGLAN DAIRY COMPANY. Butter manufactured by Raglan Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited,

in October, amounted to 1940 boxes, an increase of about 50 boxes over the corresponding period last year. About 96 per cent, of the output is finest.
