Making the . sixtieth death in the Royal Air Force plane accidents for--1930, a pilot was killed- instantly when his machine crashed at Ingratestone, tail first.\ Earlier in the day Flying-Officer Coad (19) and Sergeant Roberts were killed when a bomber crashed at Manstori. Aircraftman Edwards, who was sitting on the tail, jumped out uninjured. A British pilot named Chapman when demonstrating at Courtral (France), crashed and was killed.
