SERVICES RECOGNISED.
PRESENTATION AT TE AWAMUTU. At the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board office the staff assembled to bid farewell to Aliss Sybil Butterworth, who has resigned, and is leaving the district. The secretary-manager, Mr D. McArthur, said Miss Butterworth had been a member of the office staff for about four years, and during that time she had, by her kindly and pleasant manner, her thoughtfulness for others and her unstinted energy and enthusiasm in her work, endeared herself to every member of the staff. Mr AlcArthur asked Aliss Butterworth to accept from the staff a silver teaset.
The speaker went on to express regret at the departure from Te Awamutu of Air Butterworth and his family. Air Butterworth had not long been a member of the power board, but he had won the goodwill and appreciation of the staff, and he had served the ratepayers well. In accepting the gift, Miss Butterworth expressed her thanks for the kind remarks and for the handsome present.
