HEROIC ACTION.

INJURED MAN RINGS ALARM. FIRST THOUGHT IN EXPLOSION. (From a Correspondent). LONDON, Oct. 24. Two factory workers, A. Lusted, aged about 40, and H. M. Rolfe, aged about 25, both of Harrow, were seriously injured in an explosion which set Are to the rubber and film works of Messrs Barby and Co., Ltd., of High-road, Wealdstone, Middlesex. Rolfe, with his clothes on Are, rushed into the street and pulled the Are alarm. The explosion, which was heard for miles, caused the roofs of the factory and a summer house to collapse. Flames rose to a height of 100 feet. Fortunately the majority of the employees were absent at dinner when the explosion occurred.
