The weekly quotations for the undermentioned classes of frozen meat are based on actual sales of wholesale quantities of carcases of mutton or lamb or of quarters of beef delivered to Smithfleld market and/or exL.ondon stores. They are compiled by the Quotations Committee, Smithfleld. To arrive at the equivalent ex-Ship values one farthing per pound should be deducted" from the prices quoted below. WOOL, SKIN, HIDE & TALLOW SALE Abraham and Williams, Limited, report as under on their monthly wool, skin, hide and tallow sale held on October 30, when a large catalogue of all classes was submitted to a full representative bench of buyers. Wool : The market for all wools particularly fleece, ■ was lifeless. Shepskins: Although the demand for dry skins, was keener than usual, prices in sympathy with the wool market, were declined 3d to Id per lb. Salted skins were also in good demand at prices 2d to 3d below late rates- Hides: Competition for calfskins was exceptionkeen at'prices slightly in sellers’ favour, while hides were slightly easier at about 3d decline. Tallow: The tallow market shows no improvement. The following is our range of prices:—Wool: Crossbred 4|d to 53d; Southdown, seedy, 4Jd; dead, '3d Go 3Jd. MORRINBVILLE SALE, The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly stock sale at Morrinsville yesterday, w'hen they had a good yarding of fat and store cattle and a medium yarding of sheep. Competition was keen on all classes of cattle, and practically the whole yarding, came to hand-at satisfatcory prices. Sheep maintained late quotations. There was a large yarding of all classes of pigs. Baconers and porkers fully maintained late rates, whilst store pigs sold readily under keen competition.
