Mr A. G. Fordham, of the United States is at the Hamilton Hotel.

Mr P. Flynn, of Kansas City, United States, is at the Empire Hotel.

Tiieutenant-Colonel R. C. Allen, of England, who has been paying a visit t.n Morrinsville, left for Samoa by the Tofua on Saturday.

Messrs A. Long, W. P. Rutledge, G. A. Homes, A. E. Fell, H. C. Savage (Auckland), and F. J. Harper (Te Aroha), are at the Empire Hotel.

Mr J. B. Moodle, of Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., was at the annual meeting unanimously re-elected chairman of the Wellington Woolbrokers’ Association for the third year in succession.

Right Hon. J. G. Coates is visiting Wanganui and Taranaki. He is accompanied by the general secretary of the New Zealand Reform League, Mr A. E. Mander.. He will return to Wellington in about a fortnight.

Mr J. Caughley, formerly Director of Education in New Zealand, and for the past three years Director of Education in Fiji, will return to land shortly, as his term expires in December. Mr Caughley, as the head of a department, is a member of the Legislative Council in Fiji.

Messrs. G. W. Lanham (Dunedin), W. W. Corbett, R. W. Smith, D. A. Turner, A. B. Muggeridge, T. R. Taylor, H. M. Purdie (Auckland), L. J. W. Gardner (New Plymouth) S. J. Kernaharn (Christchurch) and N. A. Miller (Palmerston North) are at the Hamilton Hotel.

King George has directed that Sir Dinshah Fardunji Mulla shall be sworn a member of Hie Privy Council, and be appointed a member of the Judicial Committee of Ihe Privy Council. Sir Dinshah Mulla was for some years a judge of the Bombay High Court, and President of the Tribunal of Appeal, Bombay. He is the author of various text books on the laws of India, including Hindu and Mahomcdan law.
