HARBOUR BOARD.

LATE MR JOHNSTONE’S SEAT. MR F. J. FARRELL APPOINTED. A special warrant appointing Mr Frank J. Farrell, of Hamilton, as a member of the Auckland Harbour Board, to succeed'the late Mr Campbell Johnstone, as representative of combined counties of Waipa, Raglan and Waikato, been issued by the Governor-General. A notice of the appointment will appear in this week’s issue of the New Zealand Gazette.

Mr Farrell, who has occupied a seat on the Hamilton Borough Council for Hie past four years, is a we’l known Hamilton businessman and is president of the local Motor Traders’ Association. Of late years he has taken a keen interest in public affairs and his experience should be of value in his new appointment.
