WEDDINGS.

KEMP—TURLEY. The marriage was solemnised at the Cathedral, Hamilton, on Saturday evening between Avis Noreen, eldest daughter, of. Mr. and Mrs. W. Flexman, of Tuhikaramea, and Richard Cyril, second son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Kemp, Hamilton. The officiating minister was Rev. Truman (cousin of the bridegroom) of Otahuhu. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely gown of ivory embossed georgette over shell pink satin. Her veil, which was held in place with the customary orange blossom, was of Brussels lace. She carried a shower bouquet of white and pink flowers.

In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Julie Masters and Miss Doris Flexman (sister of the bride), who wore ankle length frocks of crepe mellow glow and lace in shades of apple green and rose pink respectively. Their head-dresses were juliet caps of coloured rosebuds to match each frock and they carried bouquets to tone. The flower girl, Zella Martin, wore primrose georgette and she carried a basket of Iceland poppies and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Ray’ Turley, brother of the bride as best man, and Mr

George Brough as groomsman. Following the ceremony a reception was held, Mrs Flexman receiving her guests^in a frock oif black satin, relieved with fawn georgette and a black bankok hat. She carried a bouquet of roses. The bridegroom’s mother was wearing a frock of black georgette with a georgette coat' and a black hat. JONES—CARSON. The marriage, was solemnised at St. John’s Methodist Church, Hamilton, on the afternoon of Tuesday,. September 30, between Rhena, second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Carson, of Rototuna. and Osborne, second son of Mr and Mrs B. S'. Jones, of Hamilton East. Rev. A. 0. Harris officiated, and Miss K. Clements played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of pink georgette and .a tulle veil of -tile shade. She carried a bouquet of pale pink sweetpeas and stock. The bridesmaids ware .Miss Ethne Shearman, of Woodville, and Miss Ethel Jones. Miss Shearman’s frock was of wisteria georgette, and Miss Jones’ of leaf green georgette embroidered in silver. Each carried a bouquet of mauve violas, daffodils and primroses. Mr Fred. Thomas was best man, and Mr Edwin Carson groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held in the parish hall, after which Mr and Mrs Jones left 1 for their honeymoon, which w T as to be spent touring the North Island. They will make their home in Hamilton.
