OTAGO CLUB.

CLOSE OF THE SEASON. The closing evening of the Otago Club was held on Thursday. A very pleasant time w-as spent with music, dancing and competitions. Mr and Mrs F. W. Platts were host and hostess, the latter receiving the guests in a gown of shell pink silk faille. Competitions were won by Mr and Mrs Nelson, Mrs Robinson and Mr Braithwaite, and songs were rendered by Mrs Brown and Mr Braithwaite. Mr and Mrs Long, members of the Auckland branch of the Otago Club, were present. Others there were Mesdames E. W. Taine, wearing primrose taffeta; P. R.
