TRAINING AT CAMBRIDGE

LITTLE SOLID WORK DONE. BRUNTWOOD AMISS. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Saturday. There was little interesting work on the Cambridge tracks this morning, the heavy rain overnight obviating against anything in the nature of solid preparation. Owing to the heavy state of the going no times were taken, all work being restricted to easy exercise. The course wiil be heavy on Monday. Most of the work was done on the outside of the course proper with the flags shifted in about 15 feet.

Oscar and Guid Day were given six furlongs at a sound clip.

Master Armour was sent over five furlongs at a solid pace. Brilliant Lady was cantered round the back of the course and speeded down the straight*

Archieval, Waiau Lady and Musquin were sent around with the pace on. The first named seemed to do better than his companions.

Star Lap was worked on the inner grass.

Lovely Boy, Ma-shoor and Wako King were sent over the big fences. Lovely Boy lost his rider at the second fence but was re-mounted and all three cleared the four fences at the hack of the course, although they jumped carefully. Flapperette was given a round of strong work. Black Maire strode over seven furlongs at a solid pace. St. Warrigal, alone, was sent a round at a good pace but does not appear to handle the heavy going.

Bruptwood has gone amiss and will not start on Monday.

Cuilgie went a round over steeplechase fences, giving a good display.

Marita was -sent twice round at half pace. This horse is very well.
