NORTHCOTE MURDERER.
FATE OF MUNN. NOT YET DECIDED. EXECUTIVE MEETING THIS WEEK. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The petition of Arthur Thomas Munn, who Is awaiting the death penalty for the murder of his wife, has not yet been considered by the Executive Council. It had been hoped to obtain a decision to-day, but all members of the Cabinet have not yet had the opportunity of fully examining the papers. The Minister of Justice (Hon. J. G. Cobbe) states that probably a special meeting of the Executive Council will be held this week to deal with the matter.
“ POSITIVELY INDECENT.” OPINION OF COUNSEL. DELAY IN DEALING WITH CASE(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Monday. “ It is positively indecent that a matter of this nature should not be dealt with promptly,” said' Mr E. A. Northcroft, who defended Munn, when informed that the Executive Council had not considered the case.
